Seth Valentine by John Harris is a great story. This story is about Greg who is a 40-year-old editor who works at a publishing house. He has just gotten a raise and became the president of editing, and he is his bosses number one choice for taking over as CEO when he retires. Seth is a 22-year-old rock star that has just hit the big times with his band Don't Ask Stacey and has out two hit records and has just gotten done with an extensive tour. Greg is a private person and likes to keep his personal life private. He has grown up in a time that that is just how you did things. However, he isn't in the closet, and he loves his life even if he is lonely. Following up on his dream of moving out of the city and into the country he buys a four-bedroom house at the end of a lot that shares a backyard with another large house. The house just happens to belong to Seth Valentine, who likes to throw huge, loud parties. Greg isn't sure that he likes his neighbor at first, but he definitely grows on him. I loved this age difference love story. I loved the twists and turns and reading how much Seth and Greg had in common even though they have grown up in different times. Both make some poor choices in life and grow and learn from them and it makes their relationship stronger. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.Product details

Seth Valentine M/M Gay Romance John Harris 9781543054507 Books Reviews
I bought this book thinking it was going to be the same kind of rock star story! I was pleasantly surprised at the beautiful storyline. Seth was a rock star in his twenties and Greg is in his forties and is a hot shot in publishing. They are neighbors and meet in angry circumstances. This story was beautifully written and one of the best M/M books I read in years! I loved Greg's character the most, his strength and how he was comfortable with his sexuality. He didn't hide being a gay man and I applaud the author for writing a confident sexy male character and wish society could embrace and except love like theirs. This author really wrote a exceptional love story, he pours his heart in all his books to give the readers a glimpse of the struggles and ignorance a gay man of today still must endure. This is a must read. If you love a heartwarming love story grab this book, you won't be disappointed! ❤
I have been in both positions in my life. A Musician going from gig to gig, and a bank VP with the responsibilities of many people and huge budgets. So I could readily relate to both main characters in this book. John does his research and without using too many details to introduce you to the characters and their current jobs, stresses and relationships, I was able to easily relate and understand the characters very early on and got drawn into their lives, problems and relationships. Very good romantic story for us diehard romance lovers. Won't give anything away, but i really enjoyed this gay romance story and look forward to many more from him.

Such a sweet story.
Seth is a new rockstar riding the road to fame. Greg is the VP of editing for a publishing company. By a stroke of luck Greg buys the house right next to Seth's and they meet one night when a party at Seth's was getting out of hand. From then on they are inseparable until rough patches starting worming their way between them. With tears and love they overcome what life has thrown at them.
When I started this book I was going to give it a 4 stars then I almost gave it 3 stars because of one scene. However, what happened after it ended jumped it back up to a 4.
New York author John Harris (also known as Noah Harris) is a 28-year-old bisexual man currently single and living in a small apartment in New York City. Though somewhat shy he is a humanitarian who sees the world in which we live as a community bonded in a natural approach to our feelings and ourselves and our interaction with others. His bisexual nature allows him to create well rounded characters – most all of his novels are M/M romances but they are much more than the usual erotica we encounter in film, television, and social media. John explores the boundaries of types and wields a strong brush as he paints his fascinating people.
In this new book John again explores the interstices of M/M relationships, offering more psychological insight into relationships in general than most other authors no matter their genre. His prose and character development grow with each book and he understands that valuable asset of introducing the reader in a comfortable manner to the personalities of his characters 40-year-old Gregory Johnson moves from vice president of acquisition and chief editor to CEO of Grandfield and Allen Publishing Company. 22-year-old Seth Valentine has a band called Don’t Ask Stacy and they become neighbors. As always John offers a finely tuned synopsis ‘“I don’t think he wants to party. He wants to talk to you.” Greg works for one of the largest publishing companies in the world. Seth is a young rock star, living life to the fullest. The two men could not be more different. They’re also neighbors. When Greg moves in, Seth’s constant parties are a source of contention. But as the two men butt heads, they find they may have more in common than they think. Both of the men are struggling with where they are headed, and they bond quickly. The bond grows to more, and soon the men are lovers. But with Greg and Seth leading two very different lives, can their relationship make it? As Seth struggles with a record company that wants him to stay in the closet, and Greg pushes forward a book at his company that holds a devastating secret, everything comes to a boil, and the two men find themselves at different places in their life. Is love strong enough to conquer all, or are Greg and Seth destined to be nothing but neighbors?’
Mixing demands of businesses, the arts, age differences and the needs of misunderstood men blend here, generously mixed with a hefty does of erotica.
Another fine novel from John Harris – and we know there are more on the way! Grady Harp, February 17
