It's a bit of a cliche, but it works in this novel and further accidental meetings reveal more and more about Alex to Jo and about Jo to Alex. Once Jo knows Alex, she is in love with her, as, by this time, is the reader. Now is when her dream lover reveals her face, and, to no one's surprise, it is Alex.

A little added drama from the return of the arrogant and clueless ex-husband spices the story just the right amount.

Jo is recovering is recovering from an emotionally abusive marriage and meets Alex when she goes on holiday to do some thinking. At first it seems a bit predictable-but somehow I didn't care because I liked the characters of Jo and Alex so much. I rooted for them to get together because you could see the genuine caring in the relationship between them. Also I liked that there were no games going on between them. In the pages of this book is a great romance.
I liked this book so much I read it in one night. Jo is a dispassionate woman that seems to "go with the flow" of others in her life (i.e., her parents and soon-to-be-ex-husband) until she meets the enigmatic Alex. She finds her dreams and her reality merging as their relationship develops.

This story fits the basic recipe of a good love story, but Denison keeps the reader engaged throughout the story. I can't wait to read her other books...
I can not say enough about this book! I made the mistake of starting to read it at 4 in the morning. It was so great that I didn't even notice that the sun had come up and the birds were chirping. Luckily... I didn't have to go to work that day because I never got to sleep until 9 a.m. after I read the whole thing in one sitting. This is very rare for me as I usually get bored after 20 minutes of reading. Watching the relationship between Alex and Jo grow into such passion was a thrill and a great escape from reality.
