This is a kind, sweet story that is well worth the read. The two main characters, although they have things to overcome, have big hearts and a great deal of love and kindness for others. They are the type you want to see succeed and fall in love. Eva is trying to fulfill a promise made to her deceased mom to open a hot chocolate shop. Ivan is a lifeguard who sees the type of personal Eva is and is drawn to her. Threatened with a stalker, Eva has friends who love her and will support her.

There is much going on in the story and it will draw the reader right in! With twists and turns, humor, suspense, mystery, and love, this book has more than enough to entertain – and don’t be surprised to count yourself among the new fans this author is accumulating! Alright y'all this book is jammed packed from the get go. Its sweet and drama filled with suspense thrown in. Esa is a badass in her own and Ivan just makes her even better, with her bff she can get through anything. Check out this book!!!
What a great story! I love the characters and how they aren't perfect. It was very well crafted and a definite page turner! I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet romance. Plus the author is super nice too! My only regret is not having my copy autographed.
I loved this book! Great characters, romance, sexy men, and lots of drama. Too bad someone failed to edit though... Martha became Marsha, so who knows what her name really was??? But it was a very good romantic and suspenseful story. Loved it.
This is a great start to what looks to be an amazing series.

Following a dream she's had as a little girl, Esa is a successful businesswoman. In her personal life, she's taken a hiatus from romance, steering clear of love. When she and Ivan meet, the walls she's been hiding behind start taking a beating. Her past stands in her way, still, preventing her from giving Ivan everything.

I liked the way Esa learned to depend on herself. I also liked how patient Ivan was with her, yet how he never went without telling her how special and beautiful she was to him.

I enjoyed the way that the author interwove the suspense with the romance story. Through it all, we are introduced to a group of people that made me eager to learn more about them in subsequent books.

The debut novel from author Marika Ray, and it was fabulous. Full of sweetness, but not without twists and turns. Esa is a woman who has been dealt a rough hand in life, but she's not letting her past get her down. She has followed the dreams that she and her mother had, and opened her own hot chocolate shop in Southern California. By a stroke of fate, she meets a "hottie lifeguard", Ivan who is turning into the man of her dreams. But not all is sweet and sugar, there is someone that isn't willing to share her, giving the story some delicious plot twists.

This is a perfect book to curl up with on a rainy day, when you wish you could be sitting out at a beach, enjoying the blue sky and the crash of the waves rolling in.
This book was easy to read and got me super invested! The details and descriptions made me feel like I was in the story and had be longing to go to the beach! So many books can ether me light hearted or serious, but this one perfectly straddles the line between the two. I love the easy going and lightness of Esa, but when crap got real she was strong and determined. It didn’t hurt that there was a sexy and loyal life guard by her side! This will definitely be a reread when the next book is released!
